Dispensing patients
We are a dispensing practice. This means that we can dispense medication to our patients, prescribed by the doctor or nurse.
Patients must meet a criteria laid down the NHS to qualify as a ‘dispensing patient’. In general, if a patient lives in a rural area and their residence is more than a mile (as the crow flies) from a pharmacy, then they can be a ‘dispensing patient. The vast majority of our patients fall into this category.
Should a patient be a ‘non-dispensing patient’ for any reason, then we can provide access to the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). This sends prescriptions electronically to the patients preferred pharmacy, should they so wish.
Repeat prescriptions
You can leave your request for a repeat prescription at reception or post it to the surgery. You can also leave it (in a sealed envelope) at the Post Office in Froxfield (High Cross), East Meon village shop or Meonstoke/Corhampton shop.
Please tick only the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. By prior arrangement, you can also order repeats by email or fax – our leaflet “Your Prescription” has details. Prescriptions will be ready for collection two working days after they are received at the surgery.
By prior arrangement, patients can pick up prescriptions at the Post Office in Froxfield (High Cross), East Meon village shop or Corhampton shop.
Elderly, disabled or housebound patients can ask to have their prescriptions delivered to their home address.
Please note – no requests for repeat prescriptions will be taken over the telephone. However you may wish to use our appointments on line service to re-order your repeat prescriptions. You will need to request a login and password by following the link. https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk/Account/Login
We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor or nurse has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
